Further Clarification on LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Ant-Man Final Battle (76039) Issue

There are some more details coming out of Reddit regarding a problem with the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Ant-Man Final Battle (76039). As you can see from the image above, there are two different instructions for the same step in building the ant’s legs. The top is the updated version which also includes pairs of pins and cones to add on to the legs for more stability. This is probably the reason why Shop@Homeicon has the set listed with 195 pieces instead of the 183 when it was first released.

The OP also stated that both boxes where identical and that there was no sign of them showing the 12 extra pieces except when opened so I assume LEGO is just using the same boxes that list 183 pieces and adding a bag with the additional pieces with the new instructions which saves the company some money by not remaking the boxes. If you’re one of the people who don’t have the updated Ant-Man Final Battle (76039), I suggest contacting LEGO customer support to see if you can get the extra parts.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron Throne of Ultron SDCC 2015 Exclusive Set Revealed

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC Exclusive Throne of Ultron

San Diego Comic Con 2015 is upon us and The Hollywood Reporter has given us our first look at one of the exclusive sets that will be sold there, the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron Throne of Ultron. The set consists of 203 pieces and will be sold for $39.99. It will have four minifigures: Ultron and three Ultron Sentries. It looks like all the minifigures are already in the current wave of Avengers: Age of Ultron sets with Ultron being the same as in The Quinjet City Chase (76032) and the Sentries looking similar to the ones in the Iron Man vs. Ultron (76029) set but with the added neck brace piece.

As we all know by now, these exclusives are getting almost impossible to get when at SDCC unless you’re in the know. There will be a limited amount sold each day and usually the line will be filled up in a few minutes after the doors open. I’m going to try and get in line for it but I’m chances are slim that I’ll get one. I wish that LEGO would do what Mattel did with their SDCC exclusive this year and allow attendees to pre-order online and pick them up during the convention so it’s more organized. Many don’t know this but the LEGO booth isn’t ran by LEGO employees but LEGOLAND employees which is ran by Merlin Entertainments.

LEGO Captain America: Civil War License Announced

This is breaking news that will make LEGO fans very happy. Variety is reporting that Marvel has announced their licensing partners for next year’s Captain America: Civil War and LEGO will be a part of it which means that we’ll be getting sets for the movie next year in the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes line. Building off the success of the Avengers: Age of Ultron merchandise, Marvel and Disney are hoping that Civil War will also continue that trend.

The article does mention that the campaign will feature a number of newer characters including War Machine, Falcon, Vision, Black Widow, and Black Panther. We’ve already seen a few iterations of these characters as minifigures but hopefully we’ll see some more being introduced.

Products will be hitting store shelves eight weeks before the May 6 opening so that gives us a timeframe of when we should be expecting to see the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Captain America: Civil War sets. I’m going to guess that it’ll be around March or April.

What do you guys think of this news that was kind of expected given that LEGO tends to produce sets based on the Marvel movies? Which minifigures are you hoping to see be included in the sets?

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Video Game Exclusive Minifigure Image Revealed

20150529_202822

Strangely on Eurobricks has revealed the exclusive minifigure that will be included with the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game, possibly from GameStopicon and it is Iron Man MK 33, the Silver Centurion suit from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As you can see above, Iron Man will now wear an armor piece over his regular suit which is now mostly red and silver hence the suit name. In Iron Man 3, this suit was seen at the end of the movie during the House Party Protocol and was briefly worn by Tony Stark. The minifigure makes good use of the Legends of Chima armor piece and notice there’s also side printing on the arms and legs on the minifigure and if you look real closely, the arms are double printed.

There hasn’t been much information about LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game besides the annonuncement of it back in January but it is scheduled to be released sometime in the fall. The LEGO Silver Centurion minifigure isn’t list on GameStop’sicon listings yet but it should be up a few weeks before the game is released.
