LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron Set Descriptions (Spoilers)

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron Sets

We’ve already seen images of the upcoming LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Avengers: Age of Ultron sets but the chums over at Brick Fanatics have found some details of the sets from the Argos website. Apparently, Argos don’t know that the Avengers sets are on the Marvel Super Heroes side because they labeled them as DC Comics but that’s beside the point. Additionally, there are only descriptions for five of the six sets in the wave. Beware, there might be some slight spoilers so you’ve been warned.

Iron Man vs. Ultron (76029)

Team up with Iron Man MK45 to take on the Ultron army in an ultimate battle! Defend against aerial attacks from the Ultron vehicle piloted by the Sub-Ultron officer. Take cover as Sub-Ultron troopers leap from the back of the vehicle and fire their stud shooters.

Then activate Iron Mans Super Jumper to topple the Sub-Ultron officer and bring the vehicle crashing to the ground! Includes 4 minifigures with assorted weapons and accessories: Sub-Ultron officer, 2 Sub-Ultron troopers and Iron Man MK45.

Duel with Hydra/Hydra Showdown (76030)

Join Thor and Hawkeye as they chase the Hydra henchman through the Sokovia winter forest! Place Hawkeye in the cockpit of the awesome Avengers 4×4 vehicle and accelerate away. When you have the Hydra offroader in your sights, fire the flick missiles from the rotating turret and swerve away from the offroaders powerful stud shooter.

Then launch Thor on his Super Jumper and disable the stud shooter with one perfectly aimed jump! Includes 3 minifigures with assorted weapons

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS Avengers Helicarrier (76042) To Be Revealed at BrickFair Alabama 2015?

BrickFair Alabama 2015 will be happening in just a few days and if you haven’t there been, it’s a place where you can check out some cool LEGO MOCs that are displayed by numerous builders. There are also plenty of vendors where you can buy stuff as well. The LEGO Group will most likely be there as well (or at least a representative) and there’s a very slight chance that there could be a set reveal there this weekend.

My reasoning is that according to our list of upcoming 2015 exclusive sets, the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes UCS Avengers Helicarrier (76042) is slated to be released for VIP members next month and BrickFair Alabama is the perfect time to reveal the set for fans. LEGO did something similar at the same event two years ago when they revealed the LEGO Creator Palace Cinema (10232) so putting two and two together, it could happen. So stay tuned this weekend as we could finally see images of the highly anticipated UCS Avengers Helicarrier. Fingers crossed!

BrickFair Alabama 2015 will be held at the Birmingham Convention Center (East Hall) from January 17-18 and tickets can be purchased at the door.

**Note: This post isn’t a confirmation or anything. It’s just my opinions.**

First Images of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier Polybag

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier Polybag

A few days ago, we reported that there would be a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Solder minifigure polybag that will be coming out in 2015. Eurobricks member tkkim79 has posted a couple of pictures showing off the Winter Soldier and confirming its existence.

From what we can see in the image, it looks to be a combination of the Captain America 2 film and the comic version, mostly on the head. One side of the head has him wearing a black facemask without the mask while the other has him wearing the mask over his mouth without the facemask.

There’s still no details on how the Winter Soldier polybag will be distributed but we’ll let you know when we find out.

Even More LEGO Super Heroes Summer 2015 Wave Set Details

Slowly, there are more details coming out for the Summer 2015 wave of LEGO Super Heroes sets. Over on Eurobricks, NovaSentinel has posted some set names of some of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets.

Carnage’s S.H.I.E.L.D. Sky Attack (76036)
Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team (76037)
Marvel’s Ant-Man (76039)

From the looks of that list, we are getting another new minifigure in Carnage. From the Ultimate Spider-Man TV series, Carnage is actually Peter Parker who was injected with an enhanced Venom symbiote sample by Green Goblin. I was hoping for a Cletus Kasady version but as long as we get a Carnage minifigure, I’m happy.

For the Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team set, we already reported on that one but the set name confirms the rumors from a few days ago.

There’s no mention of which set that Iron Spider will be in at this time.

As for the Ant-Man set, it was mentioned in a response to NovaSentinel’s post that it will be an Avengers Assemble set and not based on the movie. Others think that this set will still be a movie set based on the set name that was given. We’ll see in a few months if it will be the animated set or the movie set.

Over on the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes sets, amazingbricks has given set names of the sets that we reported on from Just2Good’s video.

The Batboat Harbor Pursuit (76034)
Jokerland (76035)

From the looks of it, Killer Croc may possibly be showing up in The … Continue

More LEGO Super Heroes Summer 2015 Set Details

Yesterday, we reported on some rumors of the Summer 2015 wave LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes as well as LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. Groove Bricks has some additional information from a LEGO Store employee who spilled some beans regarding the sets, more importantly, the minifigures that we could possibly see in 2015.

With the DC sets, apparently some pretty popular characters will be appearing in minifigure form including Deathstroke and Teen Titans Starfire and Beast Boy. Since it’s still too early for images of the minifigures, you can get an idea of what the characters look like if you’ve played LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.

For the Marvel side, it was mentioned that a new variant of Spider-Man will be coming out. No word yet on which variant it could be since there are plenty to choose from. My fingers are crossed for Ben Reilly’s Scarlet Spider or Superior Spider-Man. Another minifigure that was stated that would be coming out was Iron Spider. If you’re not familiar with the comics, the Iron Spider Armor was created by Tony Stark and given to Peter Parker during the Spider-Man: The Other storyline and was also used during the Civil War storyline.

Yesterday, we mentioned that a rumored Sandman minifigure will be coming out next year and GB’s contact confirms that we will indeed be getting one as well as a Rhino minifigure with a brick-built suit. I’m not sure how LEGO will be pulling that off since Rhino’s suit is bonded with his body. I would … Continue

LEGO Super Heroes Summer 2015 Set Rumors

SHLogo.png

Just2Good is back with another video with information about the Summer 2015 wave of the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes sets as well as the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets.

For DC there will be a “Jokerland” set. This kind of sounds similar to The Dynamic Duo Funhouse Escape (6857) from 2011/2012. The other DC set is a Batman Water Chase. From the sound of it, my guess is the set is probably a small $20 one which may include Killer Croc as J2G speculates.

For the Marvel Super Heroes side, there is again mention of an Ant-Man set. This also confirms the rumors from a few months ago from Hulk_Smash that there will be a set that includes Ant-Man. The other Marvel set mentioned is rumored to include Sandman which probably means that a Spider-Man set(s) is coming next year.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier Coming in 2015

There are two different reports on Brickset and on Eurobricks that a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Winter Soldier minifigure will be available sometime in 2015. There’s no mentioning on how the minifigure will be distributed, whether it be a stand-alone polybag, a gift with purchase, or a Comic Con exclusive. Tragic Banjo on Eurobricks, who has been correct on other rumors before, notes that it could be of the Marvel Cinematic Universe version. Either way, the word is now that we will most likely be seeing Bucky Barnes next year.
