LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Superman: Battle of Smallville (76003)

spieletest.at has released a video today showing a couple of the new LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Man of Steel sets. The video features Superman: Battle of Smallville (76003) and Superman: Black Zero Escape (76009).

The Superman: Battle of Smallville set will feature five minifigures: Superman, Colonel Hardy, General Zod, Faora, and Tor-An. The set will include a tan military jeep that Hardy drives and a spacecraft that will sit Zod and his minions. The set contains 418 pieces and will retail for $49.99.

The Superman: Black Zero Escape set has three minifigures: Superman, General Zod, and Lois Lane. This set will include some sort of pod and as well as a chamber. It contains 168 pieces and will go for $19.99.

The video also gives a closeup of the minifigures from the 2013 Super Heroes sets from DC Universe as well as Marvel.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man Set Images

There are now images of the box art for the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man Sets as well as the sets themselves. The sets were listed on the Barnes & Noble website with an estimated release date of March 15, 2013 for the Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Battle and May 15, 2013 for the other two sets.

Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle (76006) – 195 pieces. Here you can see we have 3 minifigures: Iron Man in the MK XLII armor, War Machine with his mini-gun on his right shoulder, and Aldrich Killian. The builds for the set includes a speedboat and a buoy.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man Attack Malibu Mansion (76007)

Iron Man Attack Malibu Mansion (76007) – 364 pieces. There are Tony Stark, Pepper Potts, a caped Mandarin, and Extremis Savin, and what appears to be Pepper wearing the Iron Man MK XLII suit. The includes Mandarin’s helicopter, part of Tony Stark’s mansion where the Halls of Armor, and Tony’s robot arm assistant.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Available for Pre-Order on Amazon

The very highly anticipated LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game that was announced last month is now available for pre-order on Amazon for many of the video game systems including the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Playstation Vita, and the PC. The estimated release date for the game is October 31, 2013. There is no word yet if there are any exclusive minifigures included with the pre-order but given LEGO’s track record with recent releases, there’s a chance one might be included. Is anyone excited for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game as I am?

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 2013 Hands On

In the past couple of days, we, along with YourCreativeFriends, reported there were new images of what appears to be new Iron Man minifigures from the 2013 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. Now, YCF has gotten their hands on a couple of these minifigures and has done a early review of them.

For the Mark XLII suit, the helmet is the only only thing that’s the same as in the 2012 suits. The torso itself is mostly red but has gold printing for most of the front and about half in the back. The hands are also gold instead of red. The arc reactor is printed white. The front of the legs also has some of the gold printing. There is also some toe printing for the boots. What’s new about this version of Iron Man is his face printing. He has a confident expression on one side and a scared/worried expression on the other. Again, we believe the Mark XLII will be in the Malibu Mansion Attact (76006).

On the other suit, we still are not sure if it’s the Heartbreaker or another one. What we do know is that the helmet is new with some silver printing on the chin and blue eyes. The top of the helmet is also shaped a little different. The head is the same as in the 2012 versions. New LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man Minifigure Revealed

A couple of days ago, we reported of a new Iron Man minifigure from the 2013 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets. Eurobricks has posted another Iron Man minifig and this looks like the new MK XLII (42) suit. As you can see in the image below, the one on the right looks drastically different from the on the left which makes me think that the one we reported earlier could be the Heartbreaker suit. The Mark XLII suit has torso printing that looks very similar to the one we saw at Comic Con 2012. The only downside is that it does not have any arm printing. So what do you think of the MK XLII Iron Man minifigure?

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 2013 Minifigure Leaked

Stud from YourCreativeFriends has informed me there are now images of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man 2013 minifigure. My guess is that the minifigure is from the Iron Man Malibu Mansion Attack (76007) set but I can’t confirm that as of this time. From my knowledge of the Iron Man comics, Tony Stark wears a different suit in the Extremis storyline so it might not be the minifig in the Iron Man Extremis Sea Port Battle (76006). In the Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Battle (76008), the set mentions Heartbreaker suit but I can’t find an image to compare it to. Could the minifig be wearing the unseen Heartbreaker suit? The suit on the minifig looks a lot like the one seen in the beginning of the Iron Man 3 trailer but not sure which version of the suit it is. If any of your readers recognize the version, let us know in the comments below. Again, thanks to YourCreativeFriends for this news.

Update: ~~After seeing Minifigures’ comment and confirming with a friend who’s into the Iron Man comics, the suit in question could be a version of the Mark V portable suit.~~

After seeing many discussions on what the suit could be, we’re still not totally sure what the suit is called. It looks similar to other suits but there are subtle differences. We’ll just leave naming the suit in the air until we have confirmation.

LEGO at the 2013 London Toy Fair

Today in Kensington, London, the 2013 London Toy Fair kicked off. LEGO has a big presence there showing off the upcoming sets from a wide variety of themes. Our friends at Brick Fanatics made the rounds today and has given a list of sets that were on display. Unfortunately, photography was not allowed but so we have to wait a little longer to see what the new sets look like. It’s also nice to see the pricing we we can gauge how big the sets are without actually seeing images at this time.

Super Heroes – Nice to know what minifigures are included in the sets such as the War Machine we saw earlier.
