LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) – Day 17

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253)

We’re at the start of the last week for the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) and today’s build is something that is very symbolic to the holidays. For Day 17, we get a simple Advent wreath thats uses some new parts that we haven’t used in this set before including the 4×4 lime green round plate and the yellow teeth pieces for the candle flames.

LEGO Seasonal Nutcracker 2017 Employee Gift (4002017) Revealed

LEGO Seasonal 2017 Employee Gift (4002017)

Every year if you’re a LEGO employee, whether at The LEGO Group or LEGO Brand Stores, the company gives an exclusive set as a holiday gift. For 2017 being the 40th anniversary of the LEGO Technic theme, this year’s Nutcracker Employee Gift (4002017) has a feature that incorporates that into the build. According to the building instructions, there’s a lever on the back of the Nutcracker to make the arms and mouth move however, it most likely will not be able to crack actual nuts.

If you’re looking to pick up one, there are plenty of sets that are listed on eBay at not so cheap prices. I would suggest waiting a year or two for the prices to drop down just a little but expect to still shell out at least $150 on it.

As an eBay Affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

I know this set has been shown off on social media but I wanted to wait a little longer to post it because some employees, who may be readers, may not have received their sets yet and I didn’t want to spoil the surprise for them.

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) – Day 16

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253)

Continuing with today’s build for the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253), we have one of the most parts intensive builds for this calendar so far. Coming in at 27 pieces, today’s build is a hybrid bird which looks like a combination of a chicken and a turkey. The color scheme is decent but the olive green slope and the gray angular plate pieces seem out of place. Other than that, it’s a decent looking model.

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) – Day 15

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253)

We’re down to the last ten days of the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) and hopefully we’ll be seeing some exciting builds as we count down to the final days. For today’s build, we have a good looking lamppost that honestly could be used in your Winter Village layout. There’s nothing much to it as the lamppost sits on top of a 2×2 jumper plate. There’s also a couple of wreaths for decoration as well.

LEGO Wedding Favor (40197)

There will be more LEGO Seasonal sets coming in 2018 and another one that has been uploaded to the servers is a new Wedding Favor (40197) set. It contains 132 pieces and will most likely be priced at $9.99. The set features a bride and groom and a new buildable backdrop unlike the previous 853340 set where it only had a cardboard cutout and it expands on the LEGO Wedding Favor (40197)

LEGO Seasonal Flowers (40187) Official Images

LEGO Seasonal Flowers (40187)

LEGO has uploaded a new LEGO Seasonal set featuring some Flowers (40187). There are two flowers in this 100 piece set, a red rose with a white vase and a daisy in a red vase. This is a nice little gift set that you could give to a loved one during Valentine’s Day. There’s no price point or release date but I assume it’ll be $9.99 and be available at the beginning of the year.

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) – Day 14

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253)

Next up on the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Build Up (40253) is another build that may not look like it fits with the holiday but a little closer look may say otherwise. For today, the build is a lighthouse on a beach area. The lighthouse itself is red and white and topped off with a black dish. As for how the build fits in with Christmas, it could be used to represent the lighthouse in the second stave of A Christmas Carol.
