LEGO Seasonal Penguin Winter Hut (5005251) Official Image

LEGO Seasonal Penguin Winter Hut (5005251)

The official box art for the LEGO Seasonal Penguin Winter Hut (5005251) is now on LEGO’s servers so that means that it is ready to be part of an upcoming promotion. LEGO has recently changed how they announce their promotions because they are not listed on the store calendars anymore but will be sent to your emails.

As for the Penguin, it shows her wearing a scarf and there are also a couple of printed skis included as well. As far as when it will be available, nobody knows but I’ll definitely let you guys know when that will be. I look forward to to adding this one to the growing collection of “hut” sets.

LEGO Seasonal Reindeer Head Christmas Ornament (5005253) Review

LEGO Seasonal Reindeer Head Christmas Ornament (5005253)

Starting tomorrow, LEGO will have a new promotional item with the LEGO Seasonal Reindeer Head Christmas Ornament (5005253). You can get it with purchases of $50 or more at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home, while supplies last. After taking a year off, LEGO introduces the 28 piece Reindeer Head which joins the 2014 Christmas Train (5002813), 2015 Christmas Train (5003083), and the 2016 Toy Soldier (5004420).

Like with the previous ornaments, the parts are inside a little green pouch along with the instructions and the string.

The build is very straight-forward and the finished result looks a lot like a reindeer head mount which is kind of morbid. I do recommend changing the black 1×1 round plate for the nose to a red one to represent Rudolph as it makes the build a bit more festive.

LEGO Seasonal 2019 Year of the Pig (40186) Revealed

LEGO Seasonal Year of the Pig (40186)

In the past few years, LEGO has been releasing some small sets to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year with the zodiac animal sets and the 2019 Year of the Pig (40186) has been revealed. Originally they have been exclusive to the Asian markets but last year, LEGO made it more accessable to the Western countries and were available in stores and on Shop@Home. Hopefully LEGO decides to do that again and I assume this set will be available in mid-to-late January/early February since Chinese Year Year will be on February 5.

LEGO 2019 Seasonal BrickHeadz Sets Revealed

LEGO BrickHeadz Dragon Dance Guy (40354)

A few months ago, I did a post saying that the LEGO BrickHeadz line was rumored to be ending next year but it looks like that has been debunked as LEGO’s servers have uploaded the 2019 LEGO Seasonal BrickHeadz sets. As of this writing, there are eight sets that we can expect with three of them being available at the beginning of the year. There are high quality images of three of the sets and the rest are shown on the back of one of them.

Valentine: Puppy (40349)
Lunar New Year: Dragon Dance Guy (40354)
Easter: Chick (40350)
Halloween: Ghost (40351)
Christmas: Reindeer, Elf, Elfie (40353)

LEGO Asia Region Exclusive Set Images

LEGO Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner (80101)

A few weeks ago, LEGO announced that there will be some LEGO sets that will be exclusive to the Asian markets and official images of a couple of these set have surfaced online which were revealed during the China International Import Expo.

One of these sets is called the Chines New Year’s Eve Dinner (80101). The scene features a traditional Chinese dinner and it includes six minifigures. The set is labeled a Chinese Festival Special Edition set and will be released some time in January.

The other set is the Dragon Dance (80102) and it features a person dress as a pig as 2019 will be the Year of the Pig. There will also be some minifigures to hold the dragon and it appears that the set could be a kinetic one because of the lever on the left side of the set.
