LEGO Ideas Avatar: The Last Airbender Achieves 10,000 Supporters

Avatar: The Last Airbender by Minibrick Productions is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. If you’re not familiar with Avatar, it’s a very popular animated series and the build features a brick-built Appa along with minifigures of Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Momo, General Iroh, and Prince Zuko.

It now joins The Mountain Windmill, Community – Greendale Community College, LEGO HeroQuest, Brickwest Studios, House from Up, Animal Crossing New Horizons: Nook’s Cranny, Trabant 601, Night at the Museum, and Fast Food Corner as the projects to reach the Second 2020 Review Stage.

LEGO Star Wars Character Helmets Back in Stock on Shop@Home

I’ve been checking in on various out of stock items on LEGO Shop@Home and it looks like the LEGO Star Wars character helmets are now back in stock. Boba Fett (75277) has been available since launch but the TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet (75274) and the Stormtrooper Helmet (75276). The latter two have also been out of stock at other retailers as well. I’m not sure how many LEGO stocked of them but if they go into backorder status, you can still purchase them but will ship at a later time.

LEGO Super Mario Product Range Officially Revealed

The LEGO Super Mario theme was announced back in March and LEGO has been sharing various expansion sets here and there but today, they have revealed the full product range for the theme. There are a total of 16 sets that will be available starting on August 1.

I’ve been playing with a few of the sets for a few weeks and was also invited to the super secret LEGO Super Mario Championship which I competed in various challenges against other Recognized LEGO Fan Media. I believe I finished 5th in our pool of eight participants. It was a good experience to test out the product and I have a feeling that kids will enjoy it as well.

We’ve been sent over a slew of images of the sets but I just want to highlight the box and the sets themselves. There’s also a press release that includes the prices for them as well.

If you missed out on the pre-order for the LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Mario Starter Course (71360) on Shop@Home a few months back, LEGO now has it open again for orders. Unfortunately, the pre-order doesn’t include the Monty Mole & Super Mushroom Expansion Set (40414) promotional bonus that was included during the first wave of pre-orders. So far, it does seem that LEGO Super Mario is fairly popular but we’ll see once all the sets are released this fall.

Star Wars Celebration 2020 Cancelled

Star Wars Celebration 2020 is supposed to be held in August but the organizers have announced that the convention has been cancelled. As we know, LEGO usually has an exclusive set that is sold to attendees there but it looks like that won’t happening since there’s no place to sell it. If they did have a set planned, we’re not sure how, when, or where they would distribute it. The easiest way is to drop it on LEGO Shop@Home but even that has some logistical issues. Star War Celebration will be returning to Anaheim in 2022.
