LEGO Brand Stores Reopening Update

A few weeks ago, we gave an update on which LEGO Brand Stores will be reopening and we have another one. If you haven’t been out that much recently, you’ll be glad to know that there are now more stores doing curbside pickup. The list of stores that are fully open has also been expanded as well. I expect this list to change soon since a lot of states have started to ease restrictions. If you’re weary of going out, LEGO Shop@Home is still there for your shopping needs.

Hi AFOL Community,

Please see the updated list of store locations that are now providing curbside services and stores that are now open to instore traffic. Please check your local store page for current business hours or call the store before you visit. As you can imagine things are changing by the minute and this list could change. We look forward to greeting you back to our stores. Thank you for your patience and support!

LEGO Technic Powered Up Components to be Sold Individually

LEGO has announced that you will be able to buy certain LEGO Powered Up components that were found in various Technic sets separately starting on June 1. This allows builders to further enhance their builds without having to invest in a whole set just to get the parts.

A message from Gaute Munch, Director Product Technology (Product owner of Powered UP)

For the past two years we have been in dialog with Ambassadors here on the LAN about Powered Up. The feedback that you have shared has been greatly appreciated. It has been insightful but also pleasure to work and brainstorm with different AFOLs around the world on Powered Up. If you are a member of a Recognized Community, thank you.

Today, we are excited to share the news below with you. We are even more excited to know what your plans are? Are there existing sets you are already excited to modify? Are these going straight into your MOCs? It is almost time for show-and-tell!

Great News on Powered Up Components!

Until now our LEGO® Technic™ Powered Up components have only been available to buy as part of the sets and we know that some of you have been interested in having the electronic components available to be sold separately.

Powered Up components are the hubs, motors, lights, sensors and control handsets that can help builders bring their LEGO models to life. The components can be used to add motorized movement and light features to models, and control them through the Powered UP App.

Billund, May 28, 2020: Today, the LEGO Group and Automobili Lamborghini unveiled the eagerly awaited LEGO® Technic™ Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 in true style. The showstopping reveal featured all the suspense, emotion and excitement of a supercar launch event – but was miniature in scale and powered entirely by LEGO Technic elements.

The star of the show, 1:8 scale LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 embodies the unrivalled power, visionary design and futuristic elegance of the limited-edition Italian super sports car. First presented at Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2019, only 63 of the full-sized Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 models are being produced, making this 3,696-piece replica the ultimate collector’s item for luxury car lovers and LEGO fans looking for their next building challenge.

Boasting a vivid lime-green colour and elegant golden rims, the model measures over 5” (13cm) high, 23” (60cm) long and 9” (25cm) wide. This one-of-a-kind model is the ultimate addition to any LEGO collection.

Therefore, we are doing all that we can to ensure the best possible conditions for optimum hand hygiene in LEGO® House with many hand sanitiser dispensers available in all the zones.
