LEGO Ideas The Iron Giant – 20th Anniversary Edition Achieve 10,000 Supporters

The Iron Giant – 20th Anniversary Edition by BrettCuv is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. A similar project by the same builder also hit 10k back in 2015 but it didn’t pass the review stage. The new one is a bit more updated and is mre sturdier and aesthetically accurate to the movie.

The project joins Mary Poppins, Cherry Tree Lane, Tesla Cybertruck, Untitled Goose Game, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Train Station: Studgate, SpaceX Falcon 9 (Saturn V Scale), Mini-fig Scale Project Gemini, Retro Bowling Alley, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Bricks & Blooms, Sonic Mania – Green Hill Zone, The Great Fishing Boat, Knight Rider – KITT, Snow-Groomer PRINOTH LEITWOLF, The Castle in the Forest, Coraline’s Pink Palace Apartments, Historically Accurate Rome, Ruined House, Spongebob Squarepants – The Krusty Krab, Working Waterfall, Futurama Planet Express Headquarter, Spaceship and the Crew, Queen – The Miracle Express as the projects to reach the First 2020 Review Stage.

Brickworld Chicago 2020 Cancelled

The folks at Brickworld has announced that Brickworld Chicago 2020 which as scheduled to be held in June. With the COVID-19 situation still not fully contained yet, large gatherings are still ill-advised and it is affecting a lot of events worldwide. As a result, Brickworld held a virtual event a few weeks ago which was very successful. Registration fees for Brickworld Chicago will be honored for next year and those who did register will be given access to the virtual events for rest of the year.

LEGO Harry Potter Summer 2020 Sets Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced the summer 2020 wave of LEGO Harry Potter sets that will be coming out on August 1 in the US and other parts of the world on June 1. They will also be able to be pre-ordered on April 30 in select regions. There will be six sets in the wave that encompass the various movies in the franchise. The Futurama Planet Express Headquarter, Spaceship and the Crew by ThomasW is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The set features the Planet Express building along with a miniature ship that is able to fit inside the hanger. It also proposes the crew as minifigures including Fry, Bender, Leela, Amy, Professor Farnsworth, Hermes, Nibbler, Zoidberg, and Scruffy.

LEGO Hidden Side Summer 2020 Set Images

Earlier today, we posted about the summer 2020 LEGO sets and we touched a bit on the upcoming wave of LEGO Hidden Side sets. There are now some images of the sets coming out of Rakuten that shows closer details for each one. I don’t know about you, but I kind of like the Slender Man type guy from the Ghost Firetruck set. Unfortunately, there was no product video for the castle set to extract images from.
