LEGO Hidden Side Drag Racer (40408) Promotional Set Official Images

There are now official images of the LEGO Hidden Side Drag Racer (40408) promotional set that have been uploaded to LEGO’s servers. The set has 134 pieces and you can get it free with purchases of $45 or more from January 24 – February 9, while supplies last. The set features a ghostly drag racer along with minifigures of Jack and Dwayne. It’s cool to see that LEGO is still cranking out Hidden Side promotions especially now since the game now has multiplayer functionality.

Two New LEGO Disney BrickHeadz Sets Revealed

There are some new LEGO Disney BrickHeadz sets that will be coming out soon that fans may be interested in. Uploaded to LEGO’s servers are Donald Duck (40377) and Pluto and Goofy (40378). Donald has 90 pieces while the Pluto/Goofy two pack will have 214 pieces. These two sets will go very well with Mickey and Minnie Mouse from a few years ago.

The LEGO Group Extends Strategic Partnership with Tencent

The LEGO Group extends strategic partnership with Tencent – Providing more creative and safe digital play experiences for Chinese children


The LEGO Group and Tencent announced today that the two companies have renewed their memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further strengthening and expanding their strategic partnership in digital play experiences for Chinese children.

In the next two years, the two parties will deepen collaboration in areas including video, game and digital child safety, and explore opportunities to collaborate in areas of digital social community, intellectual property and corporate social responsibility.

Paul Huang, Senior Vice President of The LEGO Group and General Manager of LEGO China, said, “We are delighted to renew our strategic partnership with Tencent. In the past two years, we have worked closely with each other and achieved impressive results in video, game and digital child safety. What’s more important is that they have been welcomed by Chinese children and families. Yesterday it was reported there was a United Trinity promotion for the upcoming LEGO Creator Old Trafford – Manchester United (10272) which we thought was an Asian exclusive but it looks like it’ll be a worldwide promotion. LEGO has uploaded a product page for the United Trinity Statue (5006171) stating you can get it for free with a purchase of the stadium from January 16-31, while supplies last. LEGO Creator Old Trafford – Manchester United (10272) Overseas Promotion Revealed

The LEGO Creator Old Trafford – Manchester United (10272) set was just announced earlier today and it looks like there is an overseas promotion for the set that has also been revealed. Courtesy of Dylan Chow, it looks like there will be a build for The United Trinity (6322264) which features minifigures of George Best, Denis Law, and Sir Bobby Charlton. If you’re not familiar with them, they helped Manchester United become the first English club to win the European Cup in 1968. I believe this is strictly an Asia exclusive for purchasing Old Trafford and you can only get it by redeeming it at the location stated on the card.
