LEGO at the 2020 London Toy Fair

It’s already that time when con season will be kicking off soon and the 2020 London Toy Fair will be happening in a few short weeks. LEGO will be attending the event this year and according to the exhibit floor map, LEGO will be again taking up the Olympia Room as well as having a booth on the floor.

For this year, the London Toy Fair will be introducing media badges for both press as well as for influencers so maybe we’ll see some LEGO fan media from across the pond attending this year and if we’re lucky, see some details about future LEGO sets.

LEGOLAND Fire Academy (40393) Now Available at Parks and Discovery Centers

I haven’t talked about this set yet but LEGOLAND parks and Discovery Centers are now selling a new exclusive set called the LEGOLAND Fire Academy (40393). It has 221 pieces and retails for $18. If you’ve been to any LEGOLAND parks, the Fire Academy is a staple attraction at the parks. Attendees are able to ride the fire engine by pumping the crank to the building and shoot some water at window where the “fire” is happening. The past few years, LEGO has been releasing sets that have featured various attractions at the parks. Even though they are technically exclusive to LEGOLAND, some of these sets have made their way to LEGO Brand Stores here in San Diego.

LEGO Architecture Statue of Liberty (21042) Amazon Sale – January 2020

The LEGO Architecture Statue of Liberty (21042) has finally gone on sale for the first time on Amazon. It is now priced at $95.94 which is 20% off the regular price of $119.99. Even if you’re not a fan of the build, you do get a plethora of sand-green parts. The sale drops the price per piece ratio to about $0.05/piece. You can check out my review of the set back in 2018 here.

Hottest Set in 2020 Available at Barnes & Noble

One of the hottest sets of 2020 so far is the LEGO Star Wars Mandalorian Battle Pack (75267) with the hype of The Mandalorian series on Disney+. It is currently backordered on Shop@Home but orders are still accepted and will ship in 30 days but pretty much every retailer out there is out of stock. Luckily, Barnes & Noble still has it in stock and is available for shipping or free local pickup at your nearest location if they have any in stores. If your still looking for it, I suggest getting it there since we don’t know when it will be restocked at other retailers.

LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) $3.44 Pricing at Walmart

The LEGO DC Comics Collectible Minifigures (71026) are now available and they are currently priced at $4.99 each on Shop@Home but if you’re looking for them at Walmart, you may find them at a cheaper price. Thanks to Ryan and Andrew who sent images in of the receipts, their Walmart stores are selling them at $3.44 each in Kansas and in New York, respectively. This is even lower than the regular price of $3.99 that we’re used to. I’m not sure if this is a pricing error or a temporary sale but if you’re looking for them, it might be worth it to check your stores.

It’s a brand new month and that means that LEGO Shop@Home is offering Double VIP Points on a couple of sets. First is the LEGO City Police Station (60246) where you can get 1,300 points on it.
