LEGO Masters Shopping Bag (5006068) Promotion Now Live

LEGO has kicked off a new promotion on Shop@Home for the LEGO Masters Shopping Bag (5006086) that I talked about before. You can get it for free with any purchase until December 24, while supplies last. They are the reusable kind with the thick plastic material similar to the bags for San Diego Comic Con and it features the LEGO Masters logo on both sides. This promotion is also available at LEGO Brand Stores as well.

LEGO Powered Up 3.0 Coming Soon

Last year, LEGO launched the LEGO Powered Up system and soon, they will be releasing the newest update for it which is LEGO Powered Up 3.0. One of the major changes to it is that it will support the latest LEGO Technic hardware. For those who have multiple hubs, you will be able to connect up to four hubs. Plus there’s a slight UI change and it’ll be cleaner and easier to use.

Ready for an early Christmas present? We are super excited to reach this milestone in our digital system in play, with LEGO Powered Up 3.0. With this update we hope to further empower your creativity and enable all of you to rebuild the world. Also, we have a fresh new look!

What’s new?

For those of you that have more than one hub, good news, you are now able to connect, address, code, and control multiple hubs (up to four actually).

The app now fully supports the new LEGO TECHNIC hardware. You are now able to connect the new LEGO TECHNIC hub, and use the internal tilt sensor, as well as the new LEGO TECHNIC motors. For the real techy ones, the app can read values from internal sensors (orientation (X, Y, Z), and acceleration (X, Y, Z) of the TECHNIC Medium Hub (Hub128). From the app you can pair motors on port AB, and CD. The app also supports the TECHNIC Large Linear Motor (Motor no. 2) and TECHNIC XL Linear Motor (Motor no. 3). From the app you can regulate power,

LEGO Star Wars Christmas X-Wing (4002019) Videos

Now that the LEGO Star Wars Christmas X-Wing (4002019) employee gift is no longer a secret, LEGO has released a few videos for it. These videos include LEGO Star Wars Creative Director Jens Kronvold Frederiksen talking about the history of LEGO Star Wars and Designer Joseph Patrick Kyde doing a short designer video for the X-Wing. The other videos show LEGO Owner Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen and Chairman Jorgen Vig Knudstorp playing with it with some commentary. Kristiansen also talks about LEGO Star Wars being the first licensed theme and releasing the first sets back in 1999. These videos are pretty rare as LEGO doesn’t do much of these kinds but it’s nice to see them taking time to film them and releasing them for fans.

Brick Fanatics Magazine Ending

Brick Fanatics has announced that their in-house magazine will be ending as of today. The magazine started a year and half ago with the publication coming out monthly. Brick Fanatics will now be using those resources and focusing on other projects that “offer a greater and more direct LEGO experience to readers.” Subscribers will be getting a refund for issues left on the subscription. You’ll have to email them at [email protected] with your name and order number. It’s sad to see another LEGO magazine go away but in the digital age, it’s hard to rely on print media, especially for news.

Brick Fanatics Magazine to conclude

Brick Fanatics Magazine, the print publication dedicated to building your world of LEGO, will cease production from Issue 12

After 18 months of hard work and fun, 12 editions of Brick Fanatics Magazine packed full of brick-based content and some quite remarkable, overwhelming support from readers, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the publication will cease production, with Issue 12 the last issue released.

We have learned a great deal during the creation, production and release of Brick Fanatics Magazine, during each issue generating and tailoring content to an intelligent, ever-changing LEGO audience, always with the aim that our tagline set out – building your world of LEGO.

It is with that message and ambition in mind, and with what we have learned during the course of producing Brick Fanatics Magazine, that we have come to this decision. There are many ways that we can build your world

LEGO Classic Space Galaxy Explorers Geeky Jerseys Back in Stock Again

Geeky Jerseys has again brought back their popular LEGO Classic Space jersey for sale again for a limited time. The only differences from the previous releases is that these are not customizable and will only have name SPACEMAN on the back with the number 85 which corresponds to one of the bigger years in LEGO Space history. Also the price of the jersey has been raised to $109.

I literally just received my jersey from the last release and I will say that they are pretty high quality. One downside is that it took three months to receive it but that is because each jersey is handmade. They do sell out fairly quickly so if you want one, now is your chance because they don’t sell it all the time.

Again, not a sponsored post. I just think they’re cool because I’m a LEGO Space fan.

LEGO Seasonal Christmas Tree (40338) Giveaway

I heard you guys like giveaways so here’s one just in time for Christmas with the LEGO Seasonal Christmas Tree (40338). As you know by now, the tree sold out in only one day during the Black Friday promotion so it’s pretty hard to get now besides going to the secondary market.

This giveaway is worldwide and it will run until December 25 but it won’t ship out until a few days after Christmas, sorry. This wasn’t planned and was spontaneous. I’ll also throw in one of my exclusive The Brick Fan brick badges as well. If your browser doesn’t support the widget below, you can go to this link to enter as well. Happy holidays to everyone and thank you again for supporting me and the site this year!

There’s a new activity book by Scholastic coming out later this month called LEGO Harry Potter: A Magical Search and Find Adventure.
