Two The LEGO Batman Movie Official Set Images Revealed

The LEGO Batman Movie The Batmobile (70905)

Earlier today, LEGO has published official images of two The LEGO Batman Movie sets which are The Batmobile (70905) and The Joker Notorious Lowrider (70906). We’ll see the two sets being displayed at San Diego Comic Con this weekend. Below is a little description of the two sets.

The Batmobile (70905) has 581 pieces and it includes minifigures of Batman, Robin, Man-Bat, and the Kabuki Twins. Batman has a new belt attachment piece while Robin wears some of the new green goggles which we saw before. Man-Bat looks like the same one we’ve in in a previous set while The Kabuki Twins are brand new. We’ll see how the assassins will play part in the movie later on. The Batmobile will retail for $59.99.

The Joker Notorious Lowrider (70906) has 433 pieces and will retail for $49.99. It is the one that we saw an image of yesterday with the character reveal and it includes minifigures of Batgirl, The Joker, and Harley Quinn. All three minifigures have new printing on them and the Lowrider is an interesting looking build as well.

LEGO Super Heroes BrickHeadz SDCC 2016 Boxes

LEGO BrickHeadz Superman & Wonder Woman (41490)

I’m finally back from a pretty rushed Preview Night at San Diego Comic Con 2016. I’ll over the other stuff that was happening at the LEGO Booth later on but I want to focus on the new upcoming LEGO BrickHeadz sets that are coming out in 2017. LEGO displayed the four convention exclusive sets including the boxes for them which shows some more details about them.

As you can see, the SDCC 2016 exclusive versions of the sets will have the label on front of the box and they are the higher quality slip cover versions. They also have the little stand with the #LEGOSDCC printed tile as well. The retail versions of the set won’t have these and will probably have a slightly different piece count.

Again, drawings to be able to purchase these at SDCC will be held each morning in the Pavilion Terrace.

Superman & Wonder Woman (41490) – 220 pieces
Batman & The Joker (41491) – 212 pieces
Iron Man & Captain America (41492) – 184 pieces
Black Panther & Dr. Strange (41493) – 173 pieces

Watch the LEGO Ninjago San Diego Comic Con 2015 Panel

LEGO Ninjago SDCC 2015 Panel

Earlier today, LEGO has updated the LEGO Ninjago panel from San Diego Comic Con 2015 to YouTube. I’ve done a recap of the panel but if you want to experience it yourself, you can watch the 43 minute video below. The panel includes the design team for Ninjago which includes Tommy Andreasen (senior creative manager, The LEGO Group), Dan Hageman (writer, Ninjago TV series), Kevin Hageman (writer, Ninjago TV series), Keith Malone (content development director, The LEGO Group) Simon Lucas (creative lead, LEGO Ninjago), and Maarten Simons (senior designer, LEGO Ninjago) and was moderated by Brian Bowler (marketing director, The LEGO Group).

As for those who have been asking what will be happening next season of Ninjago, the panel does give you some hints on who the villain will be. Not mentioned in the video, but there were lanyards given out to attendees which may suggest that next season will revolve around Pirates. The only bad thing about these videos is that they do not include the exclusive clips that were shown at that time.

San Diego Comic Con 2015 Day 4 Recap

San Diego Comic Con 2015 Sunday Day 4

I’ve finally had some time to finish up my daily coverage of San Diego Comic Con 2015 with the last day of the convention. For Sunday, I didn’t try to get any of the exclusive LEGO sets since I already got all three of them the previous days so I pretty much roamed around the exhibit hall until the first panel which was the world premiere showing of LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom. The movie was pretty good and had a decent plot. As for Trickster, who is also the exclusive minifigure with the movie, he shows up right at the beginning. That’s all I’ll say about that. At the end, there was also a very brief panel moderated by Greg Miller and consisting of Troy Baker, Josh Keaton, Khary Payton, Brandon Vietti, Rick Morales, and Jim Krieg.

After that, I headed off to the next panel which was the LEGO Ninjago one and apparently there are a lot of Ninjago fans because there was a huge line for it. I’ve did a recap of that panel and yes, there will be another season coming with hints of there being pirates included.

For the last panel of the day, it was the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes one which gave attendees an inside look at the development process of some of the recent LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets, animated content, and the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game. The panel consisted of Marcos Bessa, Adam Corbally, Jason Cosleer, Cort … Continue

In my second review of the San Diego Comic Con 2015 exclusive sets, I have the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Throne of Ultron that was sold to ticketed attendees on Friday. The set has 203 pieces and was sold for $40. This set recreates the brief scene in Avengers: Age of Ultron of Ultron sitting on his throne.
