LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) Limited Edition Black VIP Card

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) VIP Card

When the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) was announced last week, some fans were wondering if there was anything exclusive that was included with the set. The first edition of the original 10179 Millennium Falcon included a Certificate of Authenticity which was signed by former LEGO president Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen and Product Designer Jens Kronvold Frederiksen.

We haven’t heard anything about anything exclusive during the press release but it looks like Zusammengebaut has gotten some new information about something that will be included. If you saw my post of the brochure, the back of it shows a black LEGO VIP card which might have been a hint. According to a German Shop@Home ad, it seems that fans who are buying the set at LEGO Stores or on Shop@Home when it is officially released on September 14 for Early Access will also get a limited edition VIP card.

Whether that same promotion carries over to here in the US remains to be seen. I also wonder if there’s anything special printed on the back of the card or if it’s just a regular VIP card that we can use. We’ll just have to wait for our LEGO email or until the Shop@Home is updated to see if we get the same thing as our friends in Germany.

Update: I’ve been told that it will indeed be available here in the US. It is available to the customers who purchase the UCS Millennium Falcon until the end of 2017 and it will be mailed to … Continue

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) May Be Extremely Limited at Release

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

The announcement of the LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) was a pretty exciting event a few days ago but the actual release of the set on September 14 may be one of the most stressful things you will experience while purchasing a LEGO set. I’ve heard from a very trusted source that the set may be extremely limited upon its release, at least at LEGO Brand Stores, so much that you may have to line up early for a chance to get it. When I say early, I mean very early. Think of something like lining up for Hall H for the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic Con. I’ve been talking to some fans and they’re telling me that they will be lining up in the middle of the night to be one of the first people in line when the store opens.

As for online ordering, I expect it to be backstocked then temporarily out of stock in the first few minutes it goes live. I’ve also heard that if you’re lucky to get your order in, the set will be shipped triple boxed so it won’t be damaged during shipping. Even at the $800 price point, I have a feeling that the UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) will be more hard to get than the LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V (21309).

Of course, this is all hearsay but I trust my source enough to do a dedicated post on it. You may say that this might cause a ruckus but … Continue

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon (75192) Brochure

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon (75192)

Today was the start of the Force Friday II promotion event at LEGO Brand Stores and fans were able to check out the newly announced LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192) which was on display. They were also handing out some swanky collectible brochures for the set as well.

The tri-fold brochure is made from some high quality paper that has a premium feel to it. There are parts of the images that have that uses the glossy material as well. The front of it shows the Millennium Falcon in all its glory while the back shows a VIP card with a blurb that says you can buy it 16 days before the general release. I’ll get more on that in a separate post.

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon (75192) Officially Announced

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

After much rumors and speculation for the past few years, LEGO has officially announced the newest LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set with the updated Millennium Falcon (75192). This set has been teased for the past month and we can now finally talk about the highly anticipated set.

LEGO Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon (75192)

As stated in the teaser last week, the UCS Millennium Falcon will have a whopping 7,541 which makes it the largest set in terms of piece count dwarfing the previous record holder of the LEGO Taj Mahal (10189) which came in at 5,922 pieces.

Not surprisingly, you would expect a set this massive would be somewhat pricey and it’s no chump change. The new UCS Millennium Falcon will retail for $799.99/CA $899.99/£649.99. It will be available starting September 14 for VIP Early Access and October 1 for the general release.

On to the features of the ship, as my rumor post from the beginning of the year, the Millennium Falcon will include details from the Original Trilogy as well as the from the newer Episode VII and upcoming Episode VIII films. This includes two sets of minifigures as well as the interchangeable antenna.

Check out the official press release, designer video, and additional photos below of the new LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon (75192).
