LEGO Seasonal BrickHeadz Dragon Dance Guy (40354)

While we won’t be getting the Asia region exclusive LEGO sets here in the US, we will be getting at least one set to celebrate the 2019 Lunar New Year with the LEGO Seasonal BrickHeadz Dragon Dance Guy (40354). It has 170 pieces and retails for only $9.99. The contents of the box include three unnumbered bags and the instructions.

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953) Review

LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953)

Onwards with my reviews of the LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets, the next one I’ll be taking a look at is the Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953). The set has 753 pieces and retails for $69.99 but you can probably find it a bit cheaper for the next few weeks or so. There are five numbered bags, two instruction booklets, and a sticker sheet.

The LEGO Movie 2 Lucy vs. Alien Invader (30527) Polybag Review

The LEGO Movie 2 Lucy vs. Alien Invader (30527)

The LEGO Movie 2 has a number of polybags that are currently available and the next one I’ll take a look at is Lucy vs. Alien Invader (30527). It has 44 pieces and it retails for $3.97. I found mine at Walmart in a little section on top of a store display for TLM2.

The minifigure included is Lucy in which her outfit is similar to the one in the first movie but with some slight differences. The torso still has the blue and pink streaks on the front and back. The legs have printing of her brown pants with her black boots. Her hair piece also has her blue and pink streaks along with her goggles molded on. Her accessories include a crossbow and a quiver.

The build is an Alien Invader which basically resembles some DUPLO bricks. The top half of it is made of orange bricks and it has an intimidating 2×2 eye in the front. I’m not sure about you guys but some of the slope pieces are slightly off-colored. The mouth part is just a blue brick with a couple of studs for the teeth. It is connected to the top of the head using some hinges on the back.

The LEGO Movie 2 Lucy vs. Alien Invader (30527) polybag is a cute polybag and is a good way to get an army of Alien Invaders. It is also a cheap way to get the printed 2×2 round tile of the eye. Again, you can find this polybag at Walmart and … Continue

100th North America LEGO Store Exclusive Minifigure Review

100th North America LEGO Store Minifigure

Today LEGO opened their 100th North America LEGO Brand Store at the Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY and to celebrate, all brand stores gave away an exclusive minifigure and poster. With purchases of $50 or more, you can get the 100th LEGO Store minifigure that is in the same San Diego Comic Con clamshell style with a backing card. The card itself is metallic and it shows the 100 LEGO Stores in North America.

For the minifigure, it is the same as the LEGO Shop Employee Minifigure (5001622) polybag from 2015 but this new one has exclusive printing of 100 LEGO Stores in North America on the back.

As for the poster, it is 11×17 and it is similar to the backing card with the metallic sheen and it shows the employee minifigure on the bottom.

Overall, LEGO did not announce this promotion and it was a total surprise for a majority of people. The only reason that I got it was I saw people posting images of it online and I hurried over to my store to get one. Again, you have to make a purchase of $50 or more at a LEGO Brand Store, while supplies last.

Update: Apparently there was an email blast that was sent out but I didn’t get that email even though I’m signed up for them. This promotion will run starting today until Sunday.

In my last review of the initial wave of LEGO Overwatch sets, I have Watchpoint: Gibraltar (75975). Coming in at 730 pieces and priced at $89.99, it is the largest and most expensive set from the first wave. The contents of the box include six numbered bags, one bag for Winston, one bag of trestles, two instruction booklets, and a sticker sheet.

LEGO Overwatch Bastion (75974) Review

LEGO Overwatch Bastion (75974)

Way back in October, I reviewed the Blizzard exclusive LEGO Overwatch Omnic Bastion (75987). That one was only a miniature version of the unit but the new 75974 version is a large scale model that provides a lot more detail. It has 602 pieces and retails for $49.99 and it is the second largest set in the initial wave of LEGO Overwatch sets. The contents of the box include four numbered bags, the instruction booklet, and a small sticker sheet.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide in the Universe Review

The LEGO Movie 2: The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide in the Universe

As I reported earlier today, The LEGO Movie 2: The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide in the Universe is available starting today and I headed over to my local Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy. The book has 96 pages and retails for $8.99 and it is basically a short guide for the upcoming movie. Just a warning, there might be some minor spoilers so don’t read on if you don’t want to see what they are.
