LEGO Wizarding World Grindelwald's Escape (75951)

The LEGO Wizarding World theme consists of both the Harry Potter franchise as well as Fantastic Beasts and for this year with Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald coming out in November, LEGO has introduced one set called Grindelwald’s Escape (75951). It has 132 pieces and retails for $19.99 and it is the smallest of the system sets in the 2018 Wizarding World theme.

LEGO Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Collectible Minifigures (71022)

The LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter theme has had a very warm welcome back and along with this theme, we also get a Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Collectible Minifigures (71022) line and the set has the most minifigures that has been in a Collectible Minifigures series coming in at a whopping 22 characters. The series consist of characters from both the Harry Potter movies as well as the first Fantastic Beasts movie. Each packet costs $3.99 each and I’ll do a breakdown of the distribution at the end of the review.

LEGO Architecture Las Vegas (21047)

Earlier this year, it was revealed that there was going to be a LEGO Architecture Las Vegas (21047) set but as we know by now, it was delayed due to the tragedy late last year at one of the original hotels in the set. Fast forward eight months and LEGO decided to swap out one of the hotels as well as changing out the box printing and a few pages out of the instruction booklet. There’s no details of the price but counting the parts in the back of the booklet, there are 501 pieces unless I calculated wrong. The contents of the box include five unnumbered bags and the instruction booklet.

LEGO Wizarding World Newt's Case of Magical Creatures (75952)

J.K. Rowling’s newest series of movies for the the Wizarding World kicked off in 2016 with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. To much dismay of LEGO fans, there were no LEGO system sets that were produced for the movie which was interesting however there some LEGO Dimensions sets but they weren’t the same. Fast forward to this year and LEGO has revived the Harry Potter theme with the Wizarding World tie-in and there is finally a Fantastic Beasts set that is worth waiting for with Newt’s Case of Magical Creatures (75952). The set has 694 pieces and retails for $49.99. The contents of the box include four numbered bags, a bagged wing for the Thunderbird, a small sticker sheet, and two instruction booklets.

LEGO Plants from Plants (40320)

Way back in March, LEGO announced that they will be producing LEGO plant elements using plant-based plastic in a move to use sustainable materials in a majority of the products and packaging by 2030. The first set that has been released using this initiative is the Plants from Plants (40320) set. You can get for free from now until until August 14 with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Aragog's Lair (75950)

The next series of reviews that I will be doing are for the new LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets that have just recently been released and the first set I’ll be taking a look at is Aragog’s Lair (75950) which is a scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It is the second smallest set in the wave coming in at 157 pieces and retails for $14.99. The contents of the box include three unnumbered bags and a small instructions booklet.

LEGO Creator James Bond Aston Martin DB5 (10262)

For the past month or so, LEGO has been teasing of a new LEGO Creator set and it was announced that the set would be the James Bond Aston Martin DB5 (10262). The famous car from the 007 franchise has 1,290 pieces and retails for $149.99 and is now available for purchase on Shop@Home.
