This past weekend, LEGO VIPs were able to get the first 2019 LEGO Seasonal exclusive with the Christmas Tree (40338) early with purchases of $120 or more. The set has 392 pieces and is one of the biggest Christmas Trees LEGO has released as a GWP. All the parts are packed into two numbered bags.

It’s been a couple of decades since LEGO sold wooden toys but in a surprise announcement earlier this month, LEGO is now going back to its roots by releasing the LEGO Originals Wooden Minifigure (853967). It retails for $119.99 and the figure is made out of oak and also includes plastic hands.

LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils Display Promotion

The LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils (21320) comes out next week and it looks like there’s a neat little promotional item that will be available for it, at least in China. According to images sent to me on Instagram this morning, there’s a museum cardboard display that you can use to set up the fossils in an exhibit setting. According to the wording on the seals, it will be available at the Beijing LEGO Store.

There’s no word yet if the rest of the world will get it. I’m going to assume that it’s possible that it can come out in December because LEGO likes to run promotions a month late. Thanks to dylanchow for the heads up!

LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils (21320) Designer Video

LEGO has released the designer video for the upcoming LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils (21320). LEGO Designer Niels Milan Pedersen and Design Manager Sam Johnson talks about some of the details of the set which includes three different dinosaurs, the Pteranodon, Triceratops, and Tyrannosaurus Rex. The new LEGO Disney Frozen 2 sets have been out for a few weeks now and the only set that I was interested in picking up was the Olaf (41169) buildable figure. It has 122 pieces and retails for $14.99. The contents of the box include three un-numbered bags, a small sticker sheet and the instruction booklet.

Earlier today, LEGO announced the LEGO Ideas Dinosaur Fossils (21320) and here’s a review of the set that we’ve had the pleasure of building early. The set contains 910 pieces and retails for only $59.99 which is a good price for it. The contents of the box include six numbered bags, three instruction booklets for each of the dinosaurs, and a small sticker sheet.
