LEGO Holiday Ideas Book Review

A few days ago, I received a mysterious package from DK and I opened it to find out it was a brand new LEGO book called LEGO Holiday Ideas. It has 80 pages and it features more than 50 build ideas to use for holiday decorations, games, and gifts. What’s even cooler is that the book also provides the parts for an exclusive reindeer build.

Of course, you’ll need your own parts for the other builds in the book but the images for the pages were photographed very well so you can see what parts are needed. Some of my personal favorite builds from the book include The Elf Express which is a monorail for the elves and the Gingerbread Train.

LEGO Holiday Ideas retails for $14.99 but it is currently on sale over on Amazon for $10.59 which is 29% off. Thank you again to DK for sending it over for us to check out.

LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630) Review

LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630)

The September 2019 LEGO Store Calendar shows a new promotion coming next week for the LEGO Storage Bucket (5005630) and we’ve gotten our hands on it a little early to show you guys if it is worth the purchase. It will be available on LEGO Shop@Home from September 23-28 with purchases of $100 or more, while supplies last.

As you may know, LEGO has been doing promotions for items that you can use everyday and their latest offering is for this storage bucket. It measures about 12 inches wide from the bottom side and about 10 inches tall. The material is pretty high quality and it retails for $25 over on their little known Carry Gear Solutions site. The bottom is made of a thicker plastic that wipes clean easily if it gets dirty. The outer part of it has four smaller pockets for addition storage room as well. Lastly, there are some handles to easily transport it around. When it’s not in use, it can collapse pretty small and can be tucked away somewhere.

The obvious use for this LEGO Storage Bucket is for your loose LEGO parts and you can actually store a decent amount. The outer pockets are actually big enough to fit one of the smaller sized boxes. I personally don’t know what I’ll be using it for but some of you may already have some ideas. Is it worth a $100 purchase? I don’t think so but LEGO has some good new sets available that you can easily reach that mark.… Continue

LEGO Millennium Falcon AcryliKing Display Stand Review

AcryliKing Display Stand

There are some LEGO sets that look great as a display piece especially LEGO Star Wars sets. The folks at AcryliKing has reached out to us to take a look at their display stand for the regular Millennium Falcon. This stand is compatible with the 75105 or the 75212 versions.

When I opened the envelope from the mail, the parts for the stand are shrink wrapped into a little package. All the parts are separated by some styrofoam sheets to keep them from rubbing against each other and scratching them.

The main base itself has a good high quality feel to it. The middle of it has the AcryliKing logo but not too invasive. There are four open slots to attach the pillars to them.

There are two pillars with the Millennium Falcon printed on it. There’s also designations of the left and right pillars for the stand. It’s hard to see them on the image but they are there. Attaching to them are the parts that go to the underside of the Falcon. These are the size of 4×6 plates with some official black 1×1 LEGO round plates.

There’s also a smaller stand along with a laser cut plaque showing some of the characters from Star Wars Episode 7 as well as the Rebels symbol.

It took me a while to get it on but once the Falcon is on, it seems pretty sturdy. I will say that my left pillar is a bit loose on the stand but it’s fine so far. Because it … Continue
