LEGO Ninjago at San Diego Comic Con 2018

LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu SDCC 2017

LEGO Ninjago has been a staple at San Diego Comic Con for the past few years and fans have been drooling over the details for the upcoming seasons. Not surprisingly, LEGO Ninjago will be back at SDCC 2018 as the Sunday Programming Schedule is now out and there will be a panel held early in the morning. On Sunday, July 22 from 10:30-11:30am in Room 6A, the people behind LEGO Ninjago will be on hand and it’ll be a little interesting this year. The description doesn’t say they will talk about the next season but it says they will talk about their favorite memories and other reflections of the show. I believe they’ll still give a sneak peek but it’s curious the description doesn’t say the panel will like with previous years. Like as before, I’ll try to do a live tweeting session if my schedule lines up.

If you think ninja and LEGO are cool, then this is the panel for you! Ninjago veterans Tommy Andreasen (co-creator/producer) and Michael Svane Knap (LEGO senior design manager) are joined by lead writer Bragi Schut, voice talents Brent Miller (voice of Zane), Kelly Metzger (voice of Nya), and Vincent Tong (voice of Kai) to talk about their favorite memories and other reflections on creating LEGO’s longest running and most successful show. Bring the kids! Ninjaaaaa-GO! Moderated by the LEGO Group’s Brian Bowler.

LEGO DC Super-Villains: Meet the Talent Behind the Video Game SDCC 2018 Panel

LEGO DC Super-Villains Video Game

The San Diego Comic Con 2018 programming schedules have started rolling out and not surprisingly, there are some LEGO-related panels that fans can look forward to. One of the main panels that I was expecting was the LEGO DC Super-Villains: Meet the Talent Behind the Video Game. It will be held on Friday July 20, 2018 2:15pm – 3:15pm in Room 6A. During the panel, we can see more details about the game including more character reveals as most fans are wanting to see. There’s no mentioning of any giveaways during the panel but we usually do get something for attending.

The team behind the LEGO DC Super-Villains videogame, including Arthur Parsons (head of design, TT Games) and fan-favorite Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, give an inside look at the first LEGO game to put players at the center of a villain-centric adventure packed with favorite locations and characters from across the DC Universe. This celebration of villainy will provide fans with exciting character reveals and details about the story. Players have the ability to create and play as a super-villain throughout LEGO DC Super-Villains, unleashing mischievous antics and wreaking havoc in an action-packed, hilarious story written in collaboration with DC Comics. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and The LEGO Group will release the game on October 16.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp (75997) Revealed

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp (75997)

LEGO has revealed the third exclusive set that fans will be able to purchase at San Diego Comic Con 2018 with the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SDCC 2018 Ant-Man and the Wasp (75997). The set has 218 pieces and the build is basically a bust of Ant-Man along with the Wasp minifigure. Luckily the Wasp is not exclusive as she also appears in the Quantum Realm Explorers (76109).

If you didn’t know, LEGO has moved to a lottery system for their exclusives so it’s a little harder to actually win because anyone who is attending can enter and whoever is chosen is guaranteed to win a set provided they show up to pick up the winnings. The LEGO SDCC 2018 reveals aren’t over yet as there are also exclusive minifigures given away as well so stay tuned for those reveals in the upcoming weeks.

LEGO Unikitty Panel Confirmed for SDCC 2018

LEGO Unikitty SDCC 2018

The San Diego Comic Con 2018 programming schedule is still a few weeks away from being revealed but we already know of one of the LEGO panels that will be happening at the convention. Matthew Ashton has confirmed that there will be a LEGO Unikitty panel on Saturday, July 21 from 10-11am in Room 6DE. Joining the panel includes the cast of the show such as Tara Strong, Grey Griffin, Eric Bauza, H Michael Croner, Roger Craig Smith, as well as some of the behind the scenes people like Edu Skudder, Lynn Wang, and Anna Hollingsworth. The panel will show off a brand new episode as well as a Q&A session with the cast.

I’m sure there will be fans of the show attending since it was packed last year when it was first revealed at last year’s SDCC. Barring any scheduling conflicts, I’ll probably be attending the panel to see how it is.

More LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2018 Exclusives Coming Including Minifigures

LEGO SDCC 2018 Exclusives Lottery

The San Diego Comic Con 2018 exclusives lottery page is now live for attendees and it looks like there will be more LEGO reveals coming in the next few weeks leading up to the event. As you can see above, I’ve entered the lottery for a number of LEGO products and it also reveals some new stuff that we can look forward to including a DC LEGO minifigure, a Marvel LEGO minifigure, a The LEGO Movie 2 minifigure, and a LEGO Marvel set containing 218 pieces. There are a total of 19 different time slots for all the LEGO exclusives to choose from but I’m sure everyone will be picking every single one of them. Stay tuned for these reveals!

LEGO San Diego Comic Con 2018 Exclusives Moving to Lottery System

San Diego Comic Con 2018 is less than a month away and they have announced that LEGO will indeed be using the lottery system for their exclusives they will be selling at the booth. I expect that it’ll be a bit harder to get this year because before, people would get in line for a chance to purchase the exclusives but now, everyone who is eligible to participate will be able to try for the lottery without being in the physical line. Obviously, I’ll be trying for it as I’ve had pretty good luck with the LEGO exclusives in the past few years but we’ll see as I’m actually pretty terrible with lotteries. I couldn’t even get parking for SDCC using five different emails the past two years.

The two exclusive LEGO SDCC 2018 sets for purchase that have been announced so far are the LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon Cockpit (75512) and LEGO DC Super Heroes Aquaman and Storm (75996). If LEGO is doing the minifigures again this year, I don’t think it is part of this lottery since this is for merchandise and I believe they’ll do the same thing as before in the Sails Pavilion.

Update: It looks like the exclusive LEGO minifigures are also on the lottery system as well.
