The LEGO Movie 2 Trading Cards Promotion Now Live

LEGO has started a new promotion on Shop@Home for some cool The LEGO Movie 2 Trading Cards. From now until February 24, you can receive one pack of The LEGO Movie 2 trading cards (5005775) with purchase of $15 or three packs with a purchase of $40. VIP members will also receive a FREE The LEGO Movie 2 Awesome Collector Album (5005777) and a special foil trading card with purchase of $15.

There are 36 cards to collect and there will also be a couple of trading card swap days on February 3 & 18 at LEGO Stores. There are four cards per pack.

The LEGO Movie 2 Welcome to Apocalypseburg! (70840) is now available for VIPs on LEGO Shop@Home. The set has 3,178 pieces and retails for $299.99 and it includes 12 minifigures. The site is wonky and doesn’t let you add to cart directly. You’ll have to add it to your wish list then move it to your bag from there.

In addition, there’s a new promotion that has started with The LEGO Movie 2 trading cards. From January 16–February 24, you can receive one pack of The LEGO Movie 2 trading cards with purchase of $15 or three packs with a purchase of $40. FREE Tickets to The LEGO Movie 2 Space Hollywood Event

If you’re in the Hollywood area at the end of January/early February, LEGO is throwing together something to promote The LEGO Movie 2. They are offering FREE tickets to a 6,000 square foot interactive exhibition for those who are interested. There will be various activities and themed photo ops for the kids. The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) Box Distribution Revealed

The LEGO Movie 2 Collectible Minifigures (71023) will be released in a few weeks or earlier depending on if the retailer decides to put them out ahead of time. I’ve been asked many times so far of the box distribution of the minifigures and it has been confirmed by Promobricks that there will be three complete sets in a box.

What’s even more interesting is that each row of 20 is a complete set of minifigures. If that’s the case, there’s not much randomness to them and a brand new box will guarantee you a set without even feeling for them. I’m not sure if LEGO will change that later on but I doubt that it will at this point. If you do find a box in the wild, let us know if that’s the case.

The LEGO Movie 2 Replacement Stickers for Sweet Mayhem’s Systar Starship

Here’s a little obscure item that you may not have known about for The LEGO Movie 2. If you have Sweet Mayhem’s Systar Starship (70830), you would know that the ship is able to dispense some stickers but what happens when you run out? Target is currently selling a replacement sticker roll for it for $2.99 each. Each roll comes with 36 stickers and it looks like it’s the same ones that you get with the set. Of course you don’t have to use it with Sweet Mayhem’s Starship but it’s nice to know there’s some replacement stickers readily available in case you do run out.
