The LEGO Ninjago Movie NINJAGO City (70620)

LEGO has finally released the designer video for The LEGO Ninjago Movie D2C set, Ninjago City (70620). This set was revealed back in June but there wasn’t a video for it yet when it was first announced.

Enjoy endless role-play fun in NINJAGO® City, a hugely-detailed 3-level model connected by a sliding elevator. Level 1 features a traditional fish market, house, a bridge over a stream, and a fishing boat. The second level has a modern fashion store, comic book store, crab restaurant with ‘crab-grilling’ function and cash-dispensing ATM. The vertical city is topped off with Lloyd Garmadon and Misako’s apartment, a rooftop sushi bar with sushi conveyor belt, and a radio tower. This action-packed THE LEGO® NINJAGO MOVIE™ set also includes 16 minifigures and Sweep the maintenance robot.

-Includes 16 minifigures: Jay, Kai and Lloyd Garmadon (each with new-for-August-2017 high school outfit decoration), Green Ninja Suit, Misako, Jamanakai Villager, Sally, Ivy Walker, Konrad, Severin Black, Tommy, Guy, Juno, Mother Doomsday, Shark Army Gunner and Officer Noonan, plus Sweep the maintenance robot.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Jackie Chan Stunt Team Demonstration Video

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Master Wu

We already know that Master Wu in The LEGO Ninjago Movie will be voiced by Jackie Chan. It was revealed at SDCC 2017 that the Jackie Chan Stunt Team had a part as well by doing some of the stunts in the movie. In a new video from People, Jackie talks about the JC Stunt Team and how they were involved and it also included some demonstrations of some of the stunts that we will be seeing.

It’s cool that we see some of the behind-the-scenes clips that are translated into the movie and I’m sure we’ll learn more about it in the upcoming The Making of the Movie DK book.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie New Character Posters

IGN has released some new images of the character posters for The LEGO Ninjago Movie. The posters feature the main characters in the movie along with their respective vehicles. All of the vehicles are now available as LEGO sets except for Cole’s Quake Mech which is rumored to be available later this year/early next year.

Although the September 2017 LEGO Store Calendar doesn’t show these particular posters available as GWP, hopefully we get them in October or in future months.

Give More Articulation to The LEGO Ninjago Movie Fire Mech (70615)

kaifiremechmod06

A few days ago, I did a review on the new The LEGO Ninjago Movie Fire Mech (70615) and one of the major complaints I had with it was there was no knee joints. Chubbybots over on Flickr saw more changes that they could make to the build to make it more articulated including changes to the knees, ankles, arms, and waist. They’ve even posted a video to show you how you can make changes to your Fire Mech as well.

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice Tank Polybag (30427) Review

The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice Tank Polybag (30427)

The LEGO Ninjago Movie sets are now available and there are also a number of polybags that you can find as well. One of these polybags is the Ice Tank (30427) which is currently available at Target stores for $3.49 each.

The 71 piece polybag is a basically a miniature version of the regular 70616 Ice Tank which I’ve already reviewed. This smaller one has all of the defining features of the Ice Tank like the cockpit and the ice cannon in the front, the panels in the middle, the treads on the wheels, and the ice container in the back.

I do like the use of the small chain links for the treads as they were previously only used for LEGO Technic sets. I will say they do not roll well on smooth surfaces but they do work great on carpet or fabric surfaces.

Overall, The LEGO Ninjago Movie Ice Tank Polybag (30427) is a neat little model if you’re a MOC fodder, the chain links themselves are almost worth the price of the polybag itself. As mentioned before, the polybag can be found at Target and I found mine at the checkout lanes.
