The LEGO Movie Video Game Review

The LEGO Movie Video Game was released the same day the actual movie came out. I’ve been playing it for the past week and here’s my take on it. Like many other LEGO video games, it was developed by Traveller’s Tales and retails for $49.99/$59.99 depending on which system you got the game on. This review will be based on the Playstation 4 version. **SPOILER ALERT**

Chracters

There are a totsl of 96 characters that you can unlock throughout the game including a majority of the ones that was seen in the actual movie. While playing through the story mode, you can unlock many of the characters after each stage is completed. Even though you’ve “unlocked” them, you would still need enough studs to purchase them for use although a number of the major characters are given to you for free.

Each character has their own abilities and some are a lot more useful than others. For example, I would mainly use characters that can do multiple things such as Superman who can fly and destroy gold bricks. Another character that I would use a lot is Wonder Woman because she can also fly as well as use her lasso at grapple points.

All characters unlocked on The LEGO Movie Video Game.

Gameplay

Like other LEGO games, The LEGO Movie follows the same forumla with its Story mode and Free Play mode. In the story mode, you are assigned various characters to use and you have to solve puzzles to complete the level. You will find that some puzzles you are not able to complete … Continue

The LEGO Movie Video Game Radio DJ Robot Walmart Pre-Order Exclusive

The LEGO Movie Radio DJ Robot

A few weeks ago, we reported on The LEGO Movie Radio DJ Robot Minifigure polybag but didn’t know how to get it. I was checking Walmart’s site and the dreaded news has come. By pre-ordering The LEGO Movie Video Game, you will be able to get this exclusive polybag. What’s weird is that it is only available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 at this time. There’s no word on whether the Radio DJ Robot will be available on PS4 and Xbox One. Gamestop also has some bonuses going on with their pre-orders with the Western Emmet and a $7.50 movie ticket voucher. If the Robot DJ is not available on PS4 and Xbox One, it’ll be a pretty hard decision to make for what system you should get the game for.
