LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game PC Demo Review and Full Gameplay

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Poster

Today, the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game PC demo became available for the public. I spent some time playing it and also doing a recording of the gameplay. My laptop isn’t specced for gaming so there might be a little lag in the video. The controls I used were the default ones.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Demo Silver Surfer

The beginning cutscene “shows” unknown being eating the LEGO, Marvel, WB Games, and the Telltale logos after they blown up. After he finishes eating, he tells the Silver Surfer to find him something else to eat. The game starts off with the Sandman and the Abomination taking over Sand Station Central and wanting the Cosmic Bricks. Iron Man comes into the action along with the Hulk. Throughout the demo, you can the hear some voiceovers from Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson. Initally, you take control of the Hulk and Iron Man. You can switch between the two by pressing (U). Each character has an Action/Attack (H), Jump (J), and a Special Move (K). The Hulk’s moves are pretty simple. He just smashes stuff and even yells the phrase when you do a jump attack. You can even do the move he did to Loki in the Avengers movie where he flings him around. I must say that it is pretty spot on. You can do that move by getting close to an enemy and pressing Action/Attack (H). There’s also a cool animation where he punts the minion away. By pressing his Special (K), he can pick up things and toss them by subsequently … Continue

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Poster

After the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game , Arthur Parsons took to Twitter to do a short questions and answers session. There are some new details that haven’t been revealed before until the Q&As.

Q: In light of my beautiful hair in Thor The Dark World, will I remove my helmet during the game?

A: No, unfortunately Loki will not take his helmet off.

Q: Can iron man pop in and out of his suits at any time, like other transformations?

A: No, Tony Stark and his suits are an integral part of the story.

Q: Coop or Online?

A: It’s co-op, offline. It’s the best way to experience the game.

Q: Is Blade in the game?

A: Who knows?

Q: Will all the heroes have alternate suits?

A: No, we focused on unique characters instead of variants.

Q: I gotta admit not even I saw Aunt May being a playable character. What made you decide to put her in there?

A: Can’t have Peter Parker without Aunt May. She keeps him in check.

Q: Is every single character voiced?

A: Yes, if the character has a voice. Some don’t… i.e. Howard quacks.

Q: Can you give a list of all the playable characters? If not can you give a brief list? 🙂

A: Can they all fit in 140 characters?

Q: Who is your favorite character to play as?

A: Mr. Fantastic. Who wouldn’t want to play as a teapot?

Q: Likelihood of next gen version coming to UK shores before Christmas?

A: … Continue

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Details From NYCC 2013

Arthur Parsons from TT Games has just announced more details of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game at New York Comic Con 2013. There were a plethora of new characters announced including Shocker, Pyro, Nightmare, Absorbing Man, Malekith, Kurse as a bigfig, Taskmaster, Power Man, Iron Fist, Havok, Polaris, Moon Knight, Black Bolt, Ant-Man, Aunt May, Superior Spider-Man, and two different versions of Electro (comics and film). Taskmaster was included because fans wanted him in the game and TT listened to their fans again much like when Venom was announced as a bigfig when fans petitioned for it. Aunt May has no super powers but a hefty hand bag to whack enemies with. She-Hulk was accidentally announced when they were showing off the open world play. There will also be Future Foundation alternate costumes for various characters in the game. There are also over 50 vehicles including the ones we reported on before.

Arthur also announced the characters of the Thor: Asgard DLC which we reported on a couple of days ago and it includes Malekith, Kurse, Odin, Sif, Volstagg, Hogun, Fandral, and Jane Foster. The DLC will be available the day the game comes out.

The news that everyone has been waiting for was also announced at NYCC 2013, the playable demo. There will be a free downloadable demo on Tuesday, 10/15 for Xbox Live and PSN. The demo will also be available for the PC at LEGO.com.

Finally, everyone who attended the Marvel panel got the exclusive Iron Patriot minifigure which is previously … Continue

Official LEGO Marvel Super Heroes vs Villains Poster

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game

If you remember from last week, I posted an image of what could be the poster for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes vs Villains. The only bad thing was that it was cut off and it looked weird. Today, the official poster that I wanted to recreate has come out as you can see from the image above. It looks pretty awesome and makes a great desktop wallpaper. Follow the latest news on the game on our Super Heroes page. There is still time to pre-order LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and get some cool bonuses from Walmart, Gamestopicon, and on Amazon depending on what you want.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Thor Asgard DLC Pack Announced

LEGO Thor: The Dark World Poster

Yesterday, we did a post revealing a new poster featuring Thor: The Dark World in LEGO form to promote the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game. Today, Warner Brothers announced there will be an Asgard DLC pack that will be available at launch and will include eight playable characters from the upcoming movie. There’s no word yet on the pricing and the list of characters included but looking at the poster, we can venture a guess on who the new characters could be: Thor, Loki, Odin, Heimdall, Malekith the Accursed, Lady Sif and the Warriors Three (Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg).

New York Comic Con 2013 is starting tomorrow and TT Games Game Director Arthur Parsons will be at the Marvel Video Games Panel showing off new parts of the game. There he will also reveal some more playable characters as well as some exclusive announcements. If you’re one of the lucky ones to go to NYCC 2013, the panel will be held at the Javits Convention Center, Empire Stage 1-E on October 12th at 12:15pm.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Villains Featuring MODOK

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Villains

Game Informer has released a new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes poster featuring some of the villains of the game including an article on Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing or MODOK. Game Director Arthur Parsons gives some details of the character and what he does in the game:

“Doctor Doom is scouring the planet looking for the cosmic Lego bricks from the Silver Surfer’s board and enlists the help of A.I.M., who supply him with a purpose-built ship, the Doom Tanker. This navigates the seas looking for bricks and is crewed by A.I.M. Goons under the jurisdiction of MODOK. So as the player is tracking the cosmic Lego bricks – when they least expect it – MODOK turns up to rain on their parade. As sinister as ever, MODOK assaults the player and tries to slow them down allowing Doctor Doom to escape in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Research Submarine.”

The poster itself shows many recognizable villains in the Marvel universe including Loki, Doctor Doom, Mystique, Kingpin, Doctor Octopus, Abomination, Bullseye, Magneto, Venom, MODOK, and the Green Goblin.

Update: Now that we have the Villains side of the poster, I decided to do a little Photoshop to combine both the Heroes and Villains like they’re ready to go into battle. Just waiting for an official image similar to what I’ve created.
