I think I forgot to do last month but I’m back with the September 2018 recap. There was a bunch of LEGO news this month and here are some posts that you might have missed.
LEGO October 2018 Store Calendar Promotions & Events – The October 2018 LEGO calendar was released and the main promotions for the month are the LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Mudtrooper (40300) and the Minifigure Collector Frame.
LEGO Seasonal 2018 Christmas Carousel (40293) Revealed – An exclusive 2018 LEGO Christmas set was revealed with the limited edition Christmas Carousel (40293). There’s no word yet on availability at this time but I’ll let you know when we get some details.
LEGO Minifigure Evolution Throughout the Years – LEGO sent over a bunch of assets to help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the LEGO minifigure and we got to see how the minifigure has changed throughout the years.
LEGO Creator Winter Village Fire Station (10263) Officially Announced – LEGO announced the next Winter Village set with the Winter Village Fire Station and it is now available for purchase on Shop@Home.
The Brick Fan Latest Updates – Technically not LEGO related but I’ve made some big changes to the site including adding a brand new theme which includes more responsive feel for mobile users.
LEGO Releases Statement on Influx of Fake LEGO Shop Websites – There has been a lot of fake sites that claim to sell LEGO products and LEGO has come out with a statement to warn shoppers of these sites.
New Adult LEGO Costumes Available at Target – There are some new adult LEGO costumes that have started to show up at Target as well as on Amazon.
BrickLink AFOL Designer Program Details Revealed – LEGO and BrickLink has teamed up to release the AFOL Designer Program which is a crowdfunding program in which successful projects will become limited edition 60 Years Anniversary sets that is sold on BrickLink.
LEGO Bean There, Donut That (40358) Review – LEGO has released a Target exclusive set called Bean There, Donut That (40358) and I’ve taken an early look at the set.
LEGO and Tencent Games Announce LEGO Cube – Both companies will be teaming up to release LEGO Cube which is a sandbox-type game for kids that will be the first branded mobile game in China.
LEGO Opening Pop-Up LEGO Brand Stores – LEGO will be testing some new pop-up LEGO Brand Stores in select locations in the US.
LEGO DC Super Villains Video Game All Characters Revealed – A livestream of the LEGO DC Super Villains Video Game has revealed a list of all of the playable characters in the game.
LEGO Creator Vestas Wind Turbine (10268) Officially Announced – LEGO will be re-releasing the set from “Out of the Vault” that was originally available for Vestas employees and it will be available starting on Black Friday.
LEGO FORMA Theme Officially Announced – This is a new theme that is aimed towards adults who are looking for an engaging way to connect with their creative side.
