As I reported earlier today, The LEGO Movie 2: The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide in the Universe is available starting today and I headed over to my local Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy. The book has 96 pages and retails for $8.99 and it is basically a short guide for the upcoming movie. Just a warning, there might be some minor spoilers so don’t read on if you don’t want to see what they are.
Like with other movie guides, the book takes a quick look at some of the main characters, sets, and locations for The LEGO Movie 2. The character bios show some short facts about them.
There’s also some pages dedicated to some new characters we haven’t seen before such as Balthazar and a BrickHeadz character named Zen Bunny. There’s even a snippet of some of the characters that will be in the upcoming Collectible Minifigures line for TLM2 like Abe Lincoln, Mrs. Scratchen-Post, Wasteland Lucy, the Swamp Monster, Crayon Girl, Watermelon Guy, Giraffe Guy, and Robot Arm Benny.
As for any unannounced sets that could be coming, there’s nothing new that is shown in the book. All of the sets shown have already been listed on LEGO Shop@Home so no sneak peeks which is good since we don’t want to be spoiled too much.
Overall, The LEGO Movie 2: The Awesomest, Most Amazing, Most Epic Movie Guide in the Universe is a fun little read. Kids will enjoy reading it and for collectors, it’s cool to see some of the upcoming minifigures and I’m sure LEGO will be revealing them any day now.
